Adapting To A New Environment ...

in a blink of an eye, a week has passed since the first day I officially started work! it's pretty fascinating that i do not have this "dreading to report to work" feeling like i did when i was still working in mandarin oriental and pich event Management, maybe because i had yet to experience the worst. but whatever it is, i hope that i would never had that kind of feeling ever again, but even if i do, it will only last for a short period of time.

so how is it working at my new workplace? I would say that the 3-days of classroom training were enjoyable, pretty much because the trainer was really patient and humorous. however, the 3-days of ojt were completely different from what i had went through back when i was working in singapore flyer, and i would dare say that till now, no one has ever did any coaching better than my mentors in singapore flyer. they were simply the best. but still, i managed to survive handling calls on my own, and i hope that this will continue to be the way throughout my time there. being someone who hated talking over the phone, i was really nervous at first, but on second thoughts, being nervous won't help in anyway, so i decided to overcome the fear and take on the challenge. i believe that nothing is impossible if i step out of my comfort zone and take the first step. hopefully, one day, i will overcome the fear of holding conversations over the phone. most importantly, I hope that i will be able to get along well with my new colleagues, and new managers who are able to provide help and support along the way!
