A-LIN : SONAR ECHO LIMITED
4th March 2017 - A date I will always remember, simply cause it's the first non-S.H.E concert that I have ever attended in my life.
A-LIN - a singer whom i started to admire and adore since last year. initially i was amazed at her singing ability and vocal power, but after watching some of her videos on youtube, i start to know more about her.
and so, her concert last weekend was simply astonishing! besides the fact that the security was even more tight than indoor stadium, but the distance between the stage and the front few rows were so much closer as compared to indoor stadium. it was just like she is standing right in front of me, and we can even converse among ourselves without a microphone!
even though i do not know some of her songs, but i still did enjoyed myself and even starts to like some of the songs she sang in the concert which i have never heard before. i would say that she really sounded like the songs were being played off from the album.
the moment she sang the last song - 給我一個理由忘記 , i was really touch. firstly, it was because it's one of my favourite song and i always dreamt of hearing her sing it live in front of me. secondly, it was because i could see how much she hard work she had put in to accomplish such wonderful accomplishments! she had also shown me that if persistence and hard work do pay off eventually. (a little background story of her.. she loved singing at a very young age, and she wasn't from a wealthy family. so she started to do part-time singing at pubs, which her father strongly disagree, cause he was a policeman and he had always wanted her to follow his career path. but, a-lin does not have any interest in becoming a policewoman and wants to be a singer instead. she would sing at many many different pubs in a single night so as to earn more money, and it was also at a pub where she met her husband! so after sometimes, her sister decided to call her over to taipei in search of new opportunity, and it was after another couple of years then was her singing capability being recognised. however, she encounter the problem of having her songs heard by people but nobody know who sang these songs for a long time. in addition to that, her previous record label - avex taiwan, had to exit the market in 2013 due to poor sales and all the artistes under it were given the choice to terminate their contract earlier. a-lin actually feared that no other record labels will take her in, till sony music spotted her in 2014 and signed her, though i wished it was h.i.m instead cause s.h.e is under it as well. it was until 2015 when she joined "i am a singer - season 3" which raise her fame.) so, after knowing her story, i can feel her emotions and feelings when her father objected to her singing career, cause i face the same thing towards my mom as well, she is just like a-lin's father, always hoping i join the force, but i do not have much interest in it. sadly, i did not have the guts to persist and pursue a career in the music industry cause the constant disapproval that i received from my kins were really really discouraging. so i am really happy for her that she has managed to achieve these much throughout all these years. and most importantly, she has given me a lot of motivation and inspiration to start pursuing and working hard for the things i want. and i want to say, thank you a-lin!
