piano, drum set, guitar, recording mic, amplifier, sound mixer - have always made a promise to myself that i will purchase all these items in the future, and now i can say that i am slowly realising this promise! although my e-drum and amplifier are not of a famous brand, but i am equally satisfied with all the instruments i have right now.
I have always love singing along to the songs i am listening to since i was young ans as i grow older, i realised that i start to love music more and always dreamt to be able to play the piano and the drum. but sadly, my family back then was not that financially capable to afford a piano and send me to piano lessons. but that did not stop me from realising that dream of mine. and right now, i have finally purchased my first ever professional keyboard and am learning to play the songs of my choice. though i am slow in reading the notes and coordinating my left and right hand, but i believe that practice makes perfect. it doesn't matter if i take a longer time to learn to play a song that other people, because what matters is that i am able to play a complete song in the end.
though my mom and sis are against me having a passion in music, as they feel that it is unrealistic and that i would not make it big, but what they did not know is that whenever i feel like giving up, watching videos of S.H.E or A-LIN performing on stage just give me the motivation to carry on, as it would remind that i have to continue to work hard if i want to pursue my dream. in another words, i just feel recharged all of a sudden! my mom always says i don't have a dream or thing that i love doing and all i know is chasing superstars and dreaming to be a singer, actually i do. yes, i do dreamt of becoming a singer in the past, but right now, it doesn't matter if i am one or ain't one, because i have realised that besides loving to sing, i actually enjoyed playing around with the mixer, cracking my brain to achieve the end result that i want. Though i am trying hard to compose my own song, which i does not know if i will succeed, but i also realised that arranging music is something that interests me to a great extend as well. and yes, garageband is one of my favourite app on my macbook, ipad and iphone.
i really hope that one day, i can get into a job of my dream, which of course, revolves around something i have loved for a long time - music.
